| mostly dead of Aerie Peak |
MOSTLY dead was started by a group of friends as a guild with a focus
on progression, but also with the intent of maintaining a friendly
atmosphere. We have a great group of experienced folks. Yes we raid
ICC every week, however… Personality is VERY important to us.
Experience has taught us that we can teach someone how to play the
game, but can't change who they are. Being a friendly, helpful, and
well intentioned person is key to success in MOSTLY Dead.
So you want to join MOSTLY dead?
Well here's what we look for in our guild member:
a) The ability to relax but would like to progress.
b) Willingness to learn and better oneself in game.
c) Team players who focus on the positive and don't cause drama.

So it's time to spruce up the web page and start making more use of it. Thought I'd throw it open for suggestions. What do you think?

Mostly Dead Raid team
|
So it's official. The positions are filled for the mostly dead raid team. What this means is that for the end game content, these brave souls have committed to bend the very laws of reality to be there and support their fellow guildies in seeing the death of such nefarious souls as the Lich King.

We are now in the process of filling the 'squire' positions of the raid team. Those guild members who are given the first choice in replacing any raid team members that are unable to attend, as well as being given support in putting a second raid together for gearing purposes. Those interested, please in game mail deathsmstrss expressing such.

It's time
|
So it is time to put together our official Mostly dead raid group.
Those who are interested submit your application to Deathsmstrss in game mail.
There will be ten main raid members (Knights) and ten alternate players (Squires)
Please be advised that if you are accepted into the raid group there is an obligation to attend, or at the very least find a suitable replacement.

ROGUE'S SURPRISE
|
So we are having a 'mostly dead' dinner tomorrow night, and I want Bimbogank to buy me a 'Rogue's Surprise'...
Problem is, the drink doesn't exist yet. So I am putting out a guild wide challenge. Best recipe for a cocktail gets the honor of it being posted here... and 100 gold.
Let the games begin.

Mostly Dead of the Round Table
|
So, time to make some considerations regarding the end game raiding in mostly dead.
I'd like to throw some thoughts out there and hear everyone's opinions. It seems to me that there is a bit of a problem when it comes to putting together an end game raid group. Many of us of course enjoy the game and want to take our glorious toons to even greater heights, wrassling the lich king to take his sword and his rubber ducky. This inclines us to put together an elite team to take it as far as end game content permits. Part of the problem arises in that
a) it makes us a bit elitist, excluding fellow guildies from the run
b) running every week isn't always possible for even the most die hard fan
I have a bit of a solution that I think can work well for the guild on a couple of fronts.
My thought is to put together a team of our best of the best. Based on a combination of gear score and game knowledge this team of 'knights' would comprise an ideal ten man raid group for tackling icc. (something like, tank and off tank, three healers, one of whom can switch to dps, five dps.. spanning the range of melee and ranged)
Now, the thing that would make this a little different is each 'knight' would also have a 'squire', someone who is near to his own playing abilities. An alternate if you will. For the weekly raid, it would be each player's responsibility to either be there themselves, or arrange that their squire takes the run.
Thus, the guild would be guaranteed a strong raid taking place each week, with a chance to advance. But further, this would ensure that there is actually a much wider group of players who get the chance to explore end game and gear up. It would be suggested that knight and squire come to arrangements such that they alternate positions every week or two. Both players getting a chance to play, and yet taking some of the pressure off when 'dinner at aunt martha's' comes up.
In conjunction with the new raid group, the plan is to further solidify some other weekly raids, (toc, uld) for those players or alts that sit in that twilight level and to help them gear toward future glory.
Anyway, those are my initial thoughts. I'd love to hear from you all to see what you think.
Start a dialog here if you like and let's see where it goes.
yours
